Recovery of a maxillary anterior deficiency
This case shows how a highly resorbed maxillary central and lateral incisor region was grafted with an autologous bone block and particulate bone chips harvested from the ramus in a special split block technique prior to implant placement. Soft tissue grafting followed. The final result was very satisfactory
View Case StudyImplant therapy enhanced by orthodontics
By Dr. Maciej Stupka, Dr. Wojciech Stós
This case shows a situation where orthodontics was critical for developing the optimal space for replacing a missing maxillary central incisor, one which matched the adjacent natural tooth. Not only did the tooth movement develop the space necessary for a full sized crown, it provided a soft tissue papilla between the central and lateral incisors. Both aspects were critical for developing a functional and aesthetic restoration
View Case StudyAll-on-Six with a telescopic reconstruction
In this case, a 73-year-old male patient with severe bone atrophy of the posterior maxilla was rehabilitated with a telescopic over denture after bilateral sinus lifts and placement of six implants using Camlog Guide
View Case StudyImplant reconstruction of the mandible using autogenous bone from the illiac crest
By Dr. Robin Yang, Dr. Flavio Rasetto, Dr. Gary Warburton
This case shows the management of a case with an Ameloblastoma of the mandible. After resection of the lesion, an illiac crest graft was used to reconstruct the mandible. This allowed four implants to be placed and these were restored with a fixed, screw-retained hybrid prosthetic reconstruction
View Case StudyWarburton: Reconstruction of a severely atrophic maxilla after two failed allogeneic bone grafts
By Dr. Gary Warburton, Dr. Joanna Kempler
This case presents a 49-year-old female who had undergone two previous allogeneic bone grafts to the atrophic maxilla that had failed. She was successfully reconstructed with anterior iliac crest bone graft, implants and a fixed restoration
View Case StudyImplant navigation for treatment of severe bone atrophy in the mandible
By Dr Andres Stricker, Steffan Rothacher
This case shows a situation where there stability of a mandibular denture deteriorated when the remaining natural tooth on the mandibular right, a canine, was removed. After precise navigational planning of the region, four implants were placed using a Navigational Splint (Surgical Guide), two each bi-laterally in the mandibular canine/premolar region. Osseous augmentation on the labial aspect was provided at the same time. Restorative therapy was quickly able to follow because of the comprehensive planning
View Case StudyImplant supported bar based reconstruction
This case presents a rehabilitation with an implant-supported bar-based removable appliance in the maxilla. Special attention was given to ensure a precise and passive fit of the bar. The mandible was restored with implant-supported individual restorations
View Case StudyManagement of a failing maxillary dentition with an implant supported telescopic reconstruction
A 61-year-old female presented with a failing maxillary dentition. After removing the hopeless teeth and allowing for healing, an external approach sinus lift was performed which allowed total of four implants to be placed. The arch was restored with a Removable Telescopic Hybrid Reconstruction over copings on both the implants and some remaining teeth. This made for a simple, easily maintained and cost-effective solution for this patient
